As an integral member of the Pastoral Care Services within VMCH, you will have significant responsibility in the provision of face-to-face pastoral care at our Aged Care Facilities. This position ensures the provision of direct ministry to residents and their families.
The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the sacramental and spiritual life of the community and committed to the Vision, Mission and Values of VMCH. The Pastoral Care Worker reports directly, to the Pastoral Care Services Manager.
About the Role:
An opportunity exists for highly skilled and experienced Pastoral Care Workers to join the Pastoral Care Services team at VMCH.
The Pastoral Care Worker is responsible for the provision of face-to-face pastoral care at our Aged Care Facilities. This position ensures the provision of direct ministry to residents and their families. This position oversees and coordinates the sacramental and spiritual life of the community and will be committed to the Vision, Mission and Values of VMCH. The Pastoral Care Worker is employed by and reports directly, to the Pastoral Care Services Manager.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An active Catholic faith commitment;
- Pastoral and/or Theological training and/or experience.
- Experience as a team player.
- A commitment to ongoing learning.
- A passion for working with the aged.
- Intermediate use of MS Office Suite, Outlook and ICARE
